From participating at the Little Acorns Expo, we learned that starting a business is a lot of work. There’s a lot of testing, patience and determination needed. When we started making the buttons it wasn’t as easy as it looked in the YouTube videos.
Our Story
We failed many times before we finally figured out how to make perfect buttons. Then we had to work on the businesss name, email and how to present, pack and sell buttons to customers.
We were both nervous and excited on the Expo day. We didn’t know if anyone would like to buy buttons or if we would make any money. When the Expo started and adults started coming to our booth we realised we were actually doing real business. People were asking us questions about our buttons, and at first it was a little scary as our parents were not allowed inside the booth, but as more people came and bought from us it gave us more confidence and it felt easy and fun. It was a great feeling getting money in exchange for our buttons.
We sold 150 buttons at the expo, bigger size for $3 and smaller ones for a $1 and we made an awesome deal with Janab to make anti Vaping buttons for our Madrasah farzando. After removing the expenses and zakat, we are saving the rest for travelling for Ashara with Aqa Moula(tus).
